so I clicked those lists, and sure enough, all my devices were listed there. when I first dragged the icon onto one of my streamdeck buttons, it gave me the same yellow exclamation error on the physical button on my SD.īut, then I noticed that this version of the plugin includes options for picking the primary/secondary devices from a list. If it's just one strange device, may fix things for you when the build is finished (you want the downloads ending with '-StreamDeckPlugin') Report Id: 0aae4bd2-1a75-40ef-ab4b-19477d05d016įaulting package-relative application ID:Ĭ:\ - \AppData\Roaming\Elgato\StreamDeck\Plugins\\sdaudioswitch.exe However, unfortunately, whichever one I have installed right now (I think/hope the new one, as that's what I tried to do) still has the same failure condition as before (yellow warning icon on adding the button, and not actually switching even though it thinks it is).īeta Was this translation helpful? So I'm wondering if somehow I just got the old plugin and not the new one? Like maybe SD just recognized it as the same plugin and got the "official" one instead? I dunno. Moreover, the entry in the install/uninstall list (under "More Actions") now shows the plugin as installed (even though I had previously uninstalled it), and the date listed for the build of that installed plugin is still (same as before). because the folder name that gets installed is still. I double-clicked the downloaded plugin, and it opened in streamdeck and said "do you want to install this?" and I clicked yes.ĭifferences: called "audio switcher" instead of "audio output switcher"įrom what I can tell, the name didn't actually change. downloading the zip from Sign windows executable #28 and installing the streamdeck plugin inside that zip.uninstalling the plugin from the plugin store page in the streamdeck software - you shouldn't need to remove the buttons. It printed a blank line and exited, didn't display any errors. I went to that location, and ran the sdaudioswitch.exe program from the cmd prompt. exe directly? It won't actually work as a streamdeck plugin, but might give you a more useful error. What happens if you find the plugin folder within %appdata%\Elgato\StreamDeck\Plugins and try and run the. And here's what is in the log for that button push: When I try to then push the button, it doesn't show any errors, and it switches its icon from headphones to speaker, but it just doesn't actually switch the device. It seems from the log entries like it restarts (without a crash?) but it's not actually operational. When I try to add the button the first time, this is what gets logged:Ġ7:44:46.857 StreamDeck ESDCustomPluginCommunication::onMessageReceived(): PI 05F760F443D69E7568AB9C1D8C263FA5 is now connectedĠ7:44:47.801 StreamDeck ESDCustomPlugin::StartPlugin::::operator ()(): The plugin 'Audio Output' crashed with code 1:-1073741819Ġ7:44:47.801 StreamDeck ESDCustomPlugin::StartPlugin::::operator ()(): Restarting plugin 'Audio Output'Ġ7:44:47.903 StreamDeck ESDCustomPluginCommunication::onMessageReceived(): Plugin 141883C8E34C07C8808C90E0D38D589E is now connectedĪs you can see, it's saying the audio plugin crashed on being added, and sure enough, on the button it is overlayed with the yellow warning icon. Now, only SoundSwitch works and this plugin doesn't. It always used to just toggle my speaker to headphones, or vice versa, which also updated what SoundSwitch saw. Even if I close SoundSwitch, I get the same failure with your plugin, but anyway your plugin never had any conflicts with SoundSwitch before. I also have a standalone app called SoundSwitch on my system, and it's able to switch these two devices just fine, so it's not that my OS (or firewall) is somehow blocking the ability to access the devices or whatever. All I get is a yellow warning icon overlayed on the button indicating an error. None of those things have fixed the problem. I don't think I had any system updates (possible, but I didn't notice), but now it no longer works. I had been using this plugin in streamdeck for the last several months with no issues.
